You are probably reading this because you want to perform at your optimum level when delivering a speech. In sports, this optimum level has been referred to as the 'zone.'

It is where the athlete experiences the following:

 

   1. "a narrow focus of attention"

   2. "feeling that the performance is effortless and automatic"

   3. "complete control over mind & body"

   4. "a positive attitude & self-confidence"

   5. "no fear of failure"

   6. "feeling totally relaxed"

Speakers also enter the zone. This can be progressively achieved by applying the same psychological skills training that Olympic athletes utilize. And, this is the approach we take to speech coaching.
